Accent Food Services uses Fit Pick™ in its vending program to help employees locate vending machine choices that support a healthy lifestyle. It is a simple, ready-to-use system that identifies products which meet nutritional standards.
Fit Pick™ nutritional criteria are based on the recommendation of the American Heart Association, the 2005 USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.
Accent Food Services uses the 35-10-35 program to identify Fit Pick™ products. These products are those that are no more than:
- 35% of total calories from fat
- 10% of calories from saturated fat
- 35% of total product weight from sugar
